How to End This Year on a Strong Note

The year is long and it’s easy to get side tracked. For the most part, when we start a new year, we have good intentions but somewhere along the lines, life happens and we don’t get to our goals.

That’s okay. It’s normal.

However, it’s not fun to go into the new year feeling bad about yourself. So, today we’re looking at how to end this year off strong so that you start the new year on a good note. It’s absolutely possible.

We’re going to keep the points short so that it’s easy manage and quick to complete.

Actionable Steps:

#1. Look Back

Do a quick inventory or reflection about how this past year went and how you’re feeling about it. This doesn’t have to be long and laborious. In fact, all you need is 10-15 minutes to gain clarity. If you’re upset about any of your goals, take a moment to sit with that feeling and then forgive yourself knowing that it’s natural and it happens to all of us.

#2. Mind Your Space

Go through your things and get rid of everything that is no longer of use to you. For example, if you haven’t worn clothes in months and you know you won’t wear them again, then donate them. If you have extra paper, shred or recycle them. Look at your accounts and see if you have any unused or barely used subscriptions and cancel them to save money.

Spend 15 minutes a day on it this week and not only will your space look cleaner but you’ll feel better as well.

#3. Enjoy Kindness

Perform acts of kindness. End this year on a gentle note knowing that you spread some good in the world. It doesn’t need to be something big and grand but writing a thank you note to someone to show them you care or donating clothes to a shelter that needs support.
