Today we’re going to look at how to you can empower yourself and your children by designing your destiny.
Before I continue, if you have children who are developing their self-esteem or self-confidence, download your FREE guide, “The Top 10 Ways to Build Self-Esteem & Self-Confidence.”
So many of us state that we wish we could do something or we dream of having something big, or we ask if we will ever achieve a specific thing in life.
While that’s all good, it comes from a place of disempowerment.
If we want to really design our destiny, we need to come from a place of empowerment.
So instead of asking will I questions or stating I dream or I wish because those are fairy tale statements, let’s do the following.
Actionable Steps:
#1: Be Firm
State what you want or where you want to go.
- I want to achieve this.
- This is the kind of person I want to be – beautiful, kind, loving person.
#2: Live It!
Instead of dreaming about where you want to go or who you want to be, start living your destiny now.
If you want to be a generous person, start going out and helping others.
If you want to feel beautiful externally, make a change to your wardrobe and wear it out in the world.
#3. Design It!
Plan your day. Instead of aimlessly through your social media news feed or looking through your emails, live your best life by setting aside some time to work on it for a few minutes every day. Block out that time.
Don’t design it to serve others.
#4. Plan It!If you have a big dream and you want to achieve it, then plan it out.
If you have a big dream and you want to achieve it, then plan it out.
Today, figure out one thing that will help you achieve your destiny.
Then download either your FREE planner (an overview) or your paid planner (more specific) for tweens, and teens and adults, plan out your week, month and year- depending on how long it will take.
#5. Stay Motivated
Over time, this may get difficult for you, so find something or someone who will motivate you. You need this to be disciplined and stay focused. Remind yourself of the end goal for your destiny.
Example:
When I felt like something was missing in my life, I realized that I needed some creativity to be infused in my days. So instead of just downloading resources that were created for me, sometimes by those who have never taught a day in their life, I decided to create my own resources for my students. This propelled me to post them online for other teachers to use.
When I first started creating resources though, I didn’t know how to do it, but I learned, and I planned. I blocked out time to create and I loved every moment of it.
Don’t wish but figure out what you want to do, and make it happen.
Recap:
Here’s how you’re going to make it happen- how you’ll design your destiny.
- Be Firm
- Live It!
- Design It!
- Plan It!
