So many of us, spend far too much time looking around every corner to spruce up our lives and add more excitement to it.
Some of us make great choices for ourselves, while others are still working on it. This is especially true for our children.
Let me tell you a secret. You don’t need to find fun; you need to bring it.
How?
Here’s a quick strategy.
Actionable Steps:
#1: Choose It!
Fun doesn’t have to be something that you chase; instead, choose it. You can bring the fun wherever you go and the best part about this strategy, is that it can be authentic enough to fit with your life.
Here’s what I mean…
Even though dancing is not my forte, I love shaking it and I used to do it on the streets, and everywhere. Some people used to think it was a bit weird but I didn’t care because it was a part of my charm, which attracted more people than repelled them.
Now, I have mini dance parties when I do chores, like cleaning.
With my students, we sing songs and play games while cleaning. It’s all about having fun with even the most mundane tasks.
Where in your life do you want to bring the fun in your life and how are you’re going to do it?
#2: Bring It!
In order to bring the fun, what do you need?
For me, it’s some good dance music if I want to dance or Broadway music to sing to. I also enjoy foods, especially tacos and spaghetti. It really depends on what my body desires in the moment.
What about you? What do you need to bring the fun?
#3. Commit To It!
Now that you know where you want to bring the fun in your life and what you need to make this happen, make a commitment to start small with just one aspect of your life and then gradually integrate more of it into your life.
Recap:
Here are 3 steps you’ll need to add more fun into your day:
- Choose It!
- Bring It!
- Commit It!
Additional Thoughts:
The more fun you have in your life; the more people will want to hang around with you. Honestly, who isn’t attracted to a fun person?
My hope is that when you create more fun in your life, the less boredom you’ll feel in your life and the more your inner joy and self-confidence will increase.
